About Me

Born and brought up in Dorset, England. Currently residing in Bristol for my University studies.

I am an enthusiastic Music with Innovation student with creative flare and an innovative business attitude, giving me an imaginative, strategic and meticulous approach to all my work, as well as professional presentation and communication skills. I am looking to increase the variety of my experience in the marketing and creative sectors.

My performance skills on piano (Grade 8), violin and percussion give me a key understanding of orchestration and arrangement for different ensembles to suit specific needs. I am always interested in discovering and experimenting with new and different sound worlds, including the diverse styles of world music, to push the limits of my creativity. I am always looking to collaborate with others and previous colleagues have endorsed my professional communication and quality of work.

Following exemplary work on college projects, including my A Level composition ‘Espionage Worldwide’ that draws on a wide range of ethnomusicological influences from China, Spain and Africa, I was put forward to direct, compose and conduct the music for my school’s theatre production of ‘Othello’ in 2018, writing a large volume of music in a range of styles, including 20th century swing and a solo lament which was praised by The Fines Times Recorder for its ‘aching beauty’.

Locally, I have also collaborated with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra’s Kokoro ensemble, which performed my composition ‘The Argonauts’ at the Bournemouth Arts by the Sea Festival 2016. In 2019, I accompanied the Dorset Youth Orchestra on the marimba in their performance of my work ‘Victory’.

At the University of Bristol, I’ve also been involved with work on set as a Sound Technician and in producing music for radio podcasts for business and social media campaigns, including with upcoming sports promoter Armago. My film work includes a soundtrack for a Wild Swimming Documentary and playful rescore of the animated film “Caminandes: Llamigos”.

My enrolment on a course for Composing for Film, TV & Games at the National Film and Television School this year will enhance my compositional skillset with specific media understanding, to enable me to take on more demanding and increasingly varied projects.
